Fiesta is a spirited 4-year-old Wirehaired Miniature Dachshund looking for her perfect forever home! She is a chocolate and tan dapple piebald and weighs 10 pounds.
Fiesta is spayed, has a recent dental cleaning, is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm test, and heartworm & flea prevention.
Fiesta is everything people love about wirehairs: smart, busy, curious, entertaining, and full of personality. She absolutely LOVES squeaky toys and will happily spend her day chasing squirrels, digging in the yard, exploring every corner, swimming, and keeping you updated on neighborhood activity. She has a high prey drive and is not suitable for a home with cats, rabbits, or other small animals.
After she’s burned off her energy, Fiesta turns into an incredibly sweet and loving cuddle buddy who wants nothing more than to be close to her people.
She is crate trained, but she is not leash trained and will need continued work with potty training and basic household routines. Because of her active personality, Fiesta will do best in a home with a securely fenced backyard where she can safely run, explore, and play.
Fiesta would likely do well with people of all ages, though she has not been around young children.
Her ideal family will appreciate the fun, energetic, sometimes mischievous nature of a true wirehair dachshund and give her the structure, patience, and love she deserves.
