Julian
Julian is a 7-month-old miniature dachshund puppy looking for his forever family! He is a longhair black and tan and currently weighs 12 pounds.
Julian is an incredibly sweet, cuddly, and playful boy who loves attention and affection. He has a fun puppy personality, enjoys playing, but is always happy to snuggle up when playtime is over. He also does great crated independently, which is a wonderful head start for his new family.
Julian is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his core vaccinations.
You may be wondering why such a sweet boy is still with us at 7 months. Julian has stayed with us longer than usual because he has a conformational/structural abnormality that causes him to snort and sometimes sound congested—think of the little snorty noises you might hear from a breed such as a bulldog.
He has been evaluated and cleared by our veterinarian, who ruled out infection as well as anything being trapped or obstructing his nasal passages/airway. Julian is otherwise happy and healthy, and this does not interfere with his everyday life. He eats, sleeps, runs, plays, and keeps up just like any other puppy—it simply makes him a little more special than your average dachshund!
Julian is currently thriving and his condition does not hold him back; however, because we cannot predict whether it may require additional veterinary care in the future, his future medical needs and expenses are unknown. We want his new family to be fully informed and prepared for that possibility. We would love to find a family who can look past his funny little snorts and see the wonderful, affectionate puppy that he is. Julian has waited patiently for his person, and we think he deserves a pretty special one.
