Ivy
Ivy is a 5-year-old beauty weighing 12.5 pounds. Ivy is a soulful, quiet observer who prefers to take life at her own pace. While she is very shy and takes a significant amount of time to warm up to new people, she shows her interest with gentle tail wags from across the room as she gets to know your routine.
Once Ivy feels truly safe and comfortable, she transforms into an extremely loyal companion who will be your most devoted friend.
Because of her fearful nature, Ivy requires a calm, predictable environment. She is looking for a quiet, adult-only household where she won’t be overwhelmed by loud noises or fast-moving children.
Ivy has a "no girls allowed" policy and does not do well with other female dogs. However, having a male dog companion is essential for her to feel confident and secure.
A securely fenced-in yard is a must-have for Ivy. This will allow her to explore and enjoy the fresh air safely as she works on building her confidence.
Ivy is fully crate trained, providing her with a safe "den" of her own. She is not yet leash trained and will need a patient owner to introduce her to the world beyond her yard once she is ready.
