Wiley
Wiley is a handsome 5-year-old chocolate and tan dapple Dachshund. He weighs about 15.5 pounds, with an ideal weight around 14- 14.5 pounds. This sweet boy has all the basics covered—he’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm prevention, microchipped, and recently had a dental, so he’s ready to settle right into his next chapter.
Wiley is a friendly little guy who loves people and enjoys being part of the action. He walks nicely on a leash, “dances”, gets along well with other dogs, and is crate trained, and mostly house trained except for an accident here and there, making him an easy companion for many types of homes.
Wiley can be a bit opinionated when being physically restrained or scared and may growl some, but he has never attempted to bite. Because of this, he would likely do best in a home with older children or adults rather than toddlers who may not understand his boundaries.
Wiley could do well in either an apartment or a house, and he would likely be happy as an only dog as long as humans are around, or with other canine companions. We’re not sure how he would do with cats or other small animals such as rabbits.
